The store owner is super nice, helpful, knowledgeable about music and his instruments, and maintains the presentability of the shop! Was my first time going to check it out and was pleasantly greeted and well taken care of. Thank you so much for your help! I have to save up to build the instrument collection and would love to support independent businesses!
What’s cool about this place is that they have an earned reputation, especially since they have been around since I was a kid and are by far the best option in the area for anything guitar repair/ parts or even ones he has for sale, in my opinion. You just know they’re ready to go. Just dropped off a beat up epiphone, and I already know once the owner is done with it, it will be like a new guitar. Can’t wait!
Scott Bond expertly sets up, repairs, customizes , & builds guitars. He also sells quality used guitars & amps. And gives useful equipment advice. He has previously worked for Cort Guitars, including once setting up a guitar for Larry Coryell.
Dropped off my Leo Jaymes Single Cut Deluxe for some repairs to get it rock ready. Scott did a great job! The guitar was glowing it looked so good and of course it played amazing! Thanks for all that you do Scott! Rock onward...
I picked up my son's Yamaha acoustic guitar Friday. He did I fantastic job ob the repair. The binding repair looks fantastic and from a distance you can't even see what he did. Close up takes a bit more searching, but very well done. The price was very reasonable. The quality of the work justifies the length time it took. He really took his time and it show. I would definitely recommend his shop for any needed repair work.
They did amazing refret job for my ibanez 565. Very happy with the outcome. Was skeptical about it. But in the end it turned out great so far. Fat Cat Custom Guitars are very professional. Definitely will be my go to shop for future projects.
Scott is the real deal and a genuinely good dude all around. His knowledge, skills and work ethic are apparent in his results, all the while being fairly priced given his expertise. I’ve been bringing him guitars for about 4 years now for a plethora of different work and nothing has ever been anything short of exceptional. His setups are spot on, he has an inherent knowledge of wiring/electronics and can really think outside the box if an odd problem comes up. He can even build you a full custom guitar from scratch! If you’re not taking your guitars to Fat Cat, you’re doing it wrong!
